Guacamole is a perfect appetizer when you host a dinner party, football game, or as a snack. Even though avocado is a healthy (monounsaturated) fat, it is still a fat (which means it contains 9 calories per gram) so it needs to be portioned! When served, portion out 2 Tablespoons onto your plate with as much crudite as you wish, and enjoy!


2 ripe avocados

1 medium tomato, cut into bite size pieces

1 small lemon, juice

2 Tablespoons loosely chopped cilantro

Black pepper to taste

Crudite (raw peppers, carrots, cauliflower, zucchini, etc)


Place all ingredients in a Molcajete (a mortar and pestle carved from volcanic rock) and smash with a pestle! Enjoy!
